I'm all the way in Bandung to look for spare parts. But the two main components that I was looking for, the clutch shoe and the piston set are apparently out of stock. Both items seemed to be in high demand since 2008 season is fast approaching.
oh well..
At least I managed to grab a few other things that I might need in the near future:
- sprockets (gear 78 & 79)
- main jets (162, 165, 168, 170)
- clutch clips & springs set
- jet needle
- muffler packing mat
- gaskets (not too sure which part it was for, but the store manager informed us that those are one of the fastest moving items on the market. better be safe than sorry)
- gear balancing - another recommendation. After looking at the thing, it looks so plastic-y so i decided to take her word for it. you never know..
At least now I can enjoy my time in Bandung, a city known for its many so-called factory outlets, selling clothing and apparel at a fraction of the price it is in Jakarta, and with discounts too!
Just as an example, at this one outlet I bought 4 items, and the total rings up to just a little over Rp 100.000 - roughly $10. Bargain!

Speaking of which, I think I've been going on a bit of a retail therapy lately. Yesterday I bought my first ever handbag, a Puma. Discounted from 350.000 to 250.000 ($35 to $25). The day before I bought a white Puma T (what's with me and Puma lately?) for 99.000 ($9.90). The day before THAT i saw a sports shorts that would be perfect for underneath my race suit.
And today.. my loot was a hip-length cable-knit sweater, 2 polo shirts, 2 work shirts, 1 corduroy pants, and a Transformer-logo-blazed kiddie t-shirt.
*cringes*
I think i've done enough damage to my wallet for now... next month I better not splurge so much. If I can...
