The Ponds' checked shirt look is getting so old it makes me want to scream.
Kazza, inject some style into that wardrobe! It's getting to the point I'm considering the possibility of some kind of plot relevance to be later revealed.

The plaid on plaid is horrifying. Every time Rory wears a plaid overshirt over more plaid or any other pattern, I die a little inside.

UGHHH it's so bad, so monotonous, so frustrating!
Sure there are more important things to worry about but it's so distracting to me! WHY!
They need to please stop.
And Rory should probably stop wearing those body warmer things too. I mean sure they are perhaps practical but they are really unattractive.
I'd take them over the double plaid though!

It's called costumes reflecting their characters. Arthur's said he thinks Rory's the kind of guy who will find something he likes and then buy it all in all the colours lol. Rory's just practical, I doubt he cares too much about what goes together and what doesn't.

Yeah but that's Karen, not her character? It's called acting :p Personally I think the double plaid is precious and sums up Rory's derp perfectly.

I know of course it is but my point is Karen has input in Amy's wardrobe and she used to have more of a mix of clothes with occasional plaid but now it's PLAID PLAID and more PLAID! And I just feel they could be more different since Amy's a pretty stylish person. I just don't get it ( ... )

She does have other outfits coming up (going by filming pics) if that helps :) Karen has input yes, but she's dressing her character and not herself - clearly she thinks Amy is more into coordinating with Rory now, or maybe Rory just bought her some new clothes lol. Also I don't know about you, but I know a lot of people who wear plaid shirts most of the time at the moment, just because they're common /shrug.

I'm warming to it after hearing your arguments so thank you :)
I really like the idea of Amy being more relaxed in herself so dresses like Rory, more casual
Maybe I'm just too shallow!
Anyway, I'll let you go now and we'll say no more of it!
