Well, I'll be in Aspen. Skiing. With actual snow. (btvs 3:10)

Okay, I wasn’t really in Aspen and there was no skiing (which is good because me skiing is mostly me falling down) but there was snow and cold and Buffalo.

The visit was wonderful! *beams* And totally worth all the yuckiness of the trip back. I'm so very glad I made it home too and considering how stressful the experience was, I wasn't as delayed as I could have been. *hugs*

I glad you had a great visit.

That trip back sounds dreadful. Your description made me cringe for you and feel. I didn't want to feel. Darn it. I'm glad you finally made it home.

Glad you had a good visit and that you weathered the adventure home with elan (if a few well timed phone calls) *sends you scotch*

The visit was wonderful! hee - I'm not sure I weathered the trip with elan, I was awfully woe-begone! Of course the phone calls did help! *sips the scotch and relaxes*

Wow - what a change in weather extremes - from Memphis to full-blown winter chaos. Yikes. That's just dreadful! It sure is good you had Camisha to call for support (and assistance!). It would be hard to think clearly in a situation like that.

But I'm glad your visit was good, and you made it back in one piece, if a bit soggy. :)

The funny thing was that Memphis had gotten chilly by the time I left, but it was still much warmer than Buffalo so it was still quite the change! Camisha was excellent support, as well as having a level-head. :)

The visit was wonderful! I'm so happy that I went! *g*

They're used to the snow, but they're not used to having that much snow when there are still lots of leaves on the trees. The leaves got weighed down, which brought down limbs and trees, which brought down power lines and blocked roads ... and there you go. Sorry things went so badly for you! It was truly a freak storm by ever definition of the term.

Yeah, it was a much worse storm than I'd thought it would be when I heard that there was snow in Buffalo. Getting stuck in it was so not fun.

Getting stuck in snow is *never* fun, of course. Still, I get your ... wait for it ...

drift.
