I've been tagged by electricalgwen in the Ten Fictional Characters I Would Have Hot Steamy Sex With meme. I'm copying her and dropping the "Top Ten" aspect because it was REALLY hard for me to narrow down my list. Apparently I'm a slut about fictional characters.
Who I'd Have Sex With
1. Xander Harris (BtVS): Yeah, I’m sure this is not a surprise. Should you want my reason: Yiking in the sack! And super adorable.
2. Spike (BtVS/AtS): He is teh sex.
I was telling a co-worker about the list and explained that part of my reason for choosing Spike and Xander is that canonically they’re good in bed. hee, I’m amused at my justification here. I actually love all aspects of these characters, but I’m worried that if I got started explaining my love for them, that’s all this post would be about.
3. Starbuck aka Kara (BSG): Cocky, aggressive, and athletic is a big turn on for me (although in real life I try to avoid dating these people because it just ends badly). Sure she’s fucked up but she’s damn hot, so I don’t care.
4. Grace Polk (Joan of Arcadia): A tough blond, with attitude and a leather coat .... who's a girl!!! Check her out here. She can also be adorable and she has an aesthetic that I love ( I adore the leather coat and army pants look). Look at the pretty!! I really miss that show!
5. Booth (Bones): It's not that I don't think David Boreanaz is attractive as Angel, it's just that I think he's VERY hot as Booth.
6. Zoe (Firefly/Serenity): Tough, kickass woman. Are you noticing a theme?
7. Shane (The L Word): I love when people don't fit clearly into a gender role/presentation, and Shane has a great androgynous look. Also, she's so clearly awesome at sex!
8. Darcy (Pride & Prejudice, A&E): The smoldering sexy stares are perfected by Colin Firth's Darcy. Also, you just know he's not inexperienced.
9. Graham (But I'm a Cheerleader): Confident, kinda butch (but more andro) and comfortable with herself - all things I love about a girl. Here and here are a couple of stills from the movie. If you haven't seen the movie, it's about teenagers being sent to a camp to become an "ex-gay". It's a really funny (and romantic) satire about gender roles and sexuality. Oh, and the actress, Clea Duvall, played Marcie in the BtVS episode "Out of Mind, Out of Sight" (1:11).
10. Logan (Veronica Mars): The mix of snark, confidence and vulnerability gets me every time with him.
And I'm also doing vampirefever's Ten Fictional Characters I Wouldn't Sleep With Even If You Paid Me meme. And I've chosen characters who other people think are attractive, and I may even think are attractive, but I wouldn't want to sleep with. So I didn't pick people I think are icky.
Who I Wouldn't Have Sex With
1. Faith (BtVS/AtS): She's totally hot, but she scares me. I think the whole choking Xander thing scarred me.
2. Clark (Smallville): He's cute, but bland. And I can see him sleeping with you and then rushing out (to save someone), but telling such a horrible lie about it so you'd think he was ditching you. Or he'd do something to protect you, but give you a horribly insensitive reason.
3. Mal (Firefly/Serenity): I think he's a very good-looking man, and can understand the attraction. I'm just not personally interested. *ducks from the many Mal lovers out there* Also, he'd be all: I need to be on the frontier, away from everything and I'd be like: But I want to able to go out to restaurants and movies. And go shopping!
4. Apollo aka Lee (BSG): He's very pretty, but he's way too emo for me.
5. Paige (Charmed): She's attractive, but she's an idiot. Plus you'd have to deal with her sisters, who - especially Phoebe - can be even bigger idiots than her. Also, she'd always be orbing in and out, which would freak me out. I startle easily.
6. Any of Angelina Jolie's roles: I know people of all genders and sexualities who think she's hot and would sleep with her in a second. Not me, I don't see the appeal.
7. Kennedy (BtVS): There's very few characters that I hate in the Buffyverse, and I come very close with Kennedy. Partly because she reminds me dykes I've known over the years (and not liked), and she seems like a total player. So even though she's attractive (and is very helpful for Willow's moving on process), I would definitely not sleep with her.
8. Sam Winchester (Supernatural): He is very pretty, but seems very young and too earnest. I can be earnest so this would be a bad combination. I'd be much more inclined to sleep with Dean. But the Winchester's number one priority is their family, and they'd pick each other over me. Also they'd leave town. Although if all I wanted was a one night stand, I'd still pick Dean.
9. McDreamy aka Derek Shepherd (Grey's Antomy): I don't hate his character or anything, I just don't see what all the fuss is about. McWhatever, I say.
10. Elliott (Scrubs): I LOVE her character!! She totally cracks me up. I just think she's such a bundle of neurosis that combined with me, it would be INSANE.

I am still working - slowly - on the drabbles, so more will be coming soon. I get very attached to doing things in order, so I'm having trouble fighting that impulse and going with the ones that inspire me first (although I did decide to do the Veronica Mars ones last because I feel less comfortable writing in that fandom than BtVS/AtS).
Oh! And this is a long week-end - yay for Victoria Day! And I'm taking a vacation day on Friday so I'll have a four day weekend!!! I'm so excited even though I'm sure I won't do everything I want to do.
