I’m sure the people whose journals I commented on last night must think I have no life. But I did go out last night … I have a life, really! I went to a work party where there was an open bar for a short time, which just means everyone gets drunk quickly and very early. There’s always lots of debauchery at my work parties, and this was no exception. By 10pm I’d had the same amount of alcohol that I have when I go out dancing and stay out until 3am, so I went home. I’m not big on the debauchery and not remembering anything the next day.

So entrenous88 tagged me with this meme DAYS ago, but I got all distracted that day. Then the link didn’t work (something about bandwidth exceeded) when I tried to do it, but I’ve done it now!!

Guilt What is yours? Explain yourself Culinary: Pre-shredded "fiesta" cheese
I pondered saying "hates cooking" but I don’t feel guilty about that - it’s a proud family tradition I inherited from my mom and grandma! As a result of my cooking aversion, I have limited food preparation skills but one of the things I can do is grate cheese (I know what an impressive skill!!). So, it’s very silly to buy pre-shredded cheese but I love the "fiesta" flavouring so much. I’ll eat it right out of the package.
Literary: Not reading a book in about year other than Harry Potter & HBP I used to LOVE to read. My degree is in English Literature. Unfortunately the many years of being forced to read books have created a disinterest in reading. Even if I’m interested in a book, I can’t read it. I think I have a psychological aversion to actually picking up a book because I will read lots of fic online. (A lot of my friends have the same degree and they experienced the same thing.) It’s just very contradictory to have a degree in English Lit and hate to read. I expect/hope I’ll rediscover the love soon though!!Audiovisual: Charmed The acting’s bad, the dialogue meh, the storylines are ripped off from other sources which did it much better, and everything looks really fake (they’re in San Francisco?!). The only reason the Charmed Ones continually win is because the demons are even more idiotic than they are. The show does an okay job with story and character arcs, which are simplistic but still way better than anything Smallville’s tried. Even though I know it’s basically a bad show, I continue to watch it because I can just turn off my brain and have a fluffy 45 minutes.
Musical: Avril Lavigne I could claim that I like her because she’s - basically - from my hometown, but that’s not true. I heard “Take Me Away” on a Joan of Arcadia episode and loved the angstiness of it so much that I tracked down the artist. I was initially horrified that it was Avril, but once I admitted that I also love a bunch of her other songs - teen angst!! - I broke down and bought the album.
Celebrity: Hugh Grant I thought about this one for a long time - probably too long - because I don’t feel guilty about my celebrities loves (eg. James Marsters & Nick Brendon). However, Hugh Grant has such a dodgy personal life, yet still I love almost every movie he’s done. I own Four Weddings & a Funeral, About a Boy, Love Actually, Bridget Jones’s Diary and Sense & Sensibility. I normally claim that I love the writing (which I do) and the supporting characters, but if I really hated Hugh Grant I wouldn’t like the movies.

Now I tag:- Anyone who wants to play!! *g*

The link is here!

I’m planning to see Goodnight and Good Luck tonight, and then I’ll have seen all the films nominated for Best Picture!!! This may be the first year in a long time when I will actually have seen all the Best Picture nominees! Success for cordelianne!!
