Hospitals ...

I hate hospitals.

There are too many sick people.

And what's with the food? It's disgusting and generic, not to mention tasteless. It's no wonder people lose so much weight in hospitals. If I was stuck between starving and eating hospital food, I'd starve.

Then, there's the doctors. A stupid bunch of people who pay more attention to their paycheck than their patients. Most of them are too arrogant and the rest of them don't know what the hell they're doing. Granted, there are a few good doctors here. I don't know that from experience, though. I'm just hoping that not all doctors are complete asses.

There's the waiting too. For hours you could wait, even if its just for a small cough or a check-up. It doesn't matter how old you are, how young you are, or how well you look, everybody has to wait. I don't know about the rest of you but a person could fall asleep in those clinics and still have time to wait.

And I know the way things work in this city. It's all about money, sex and drugs. I've learned the hard way that these three things drive the fuel force of every human being. It's gotten worse in hospitals. Only the wealthy get the best treatment. Only the wealthy get the best beds, the best food and the best doctors. It's the poor that have to handle over-the-counter meds and hand-me-down doctors.

Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital isn't all that different from other hospitals. It's better than most. The free clinic is nice to have and the doctors are decent enough. It's the only hospital I can stand going to. I've been going there off and on for about a year since I moved here from out of state. It's a nice place, actually.

Still.

I hate hospitals.
