As far as I'm concerned, it's something he's always fighting. He's had it in his system since he was an infant after all- that's not something you shake.

Plus, I've always been interested in SPN-Lucifer's fascination with pop culture and music - for someone who so despises humanity and all its works, he seems oddly up on the trends of the day, you know?
My head-canon is that the Cage is transparent- and Lucifer can see all of Earth above him. What better way to torment the angel who despises humanity than to make that the only thing he can watch, right?

I don't usually read much fic with dark themes but I might read more if it's like this. I enjoyed the way you wove the Beatles songs into the thread of your story and the chilling way Lucifer won't let Sam keep anything sacred. Thanks for sharing.
