I started a new job at the new Jason's restaurant and bar in Worthington this past Monday. I've never worked in the restaurant business, so there is a bit of a learning curve, but I'm telling myself that if I work at it instead of sit around and think I SHOULD be working at it it'll be fine.
I had lunch at their Dublin location today. It was good. They have a huge menu, which is part of my problem. They have Asian, Italian and American food, plus soups, sandwiches, salads and seafood. They are very wine heavy and it's all labels I've never heard of and can't afford. Worthington's going to have 12 beer taps and a decent bottle selection.
It's a lot to learn and being a server I have to know it all by tomorrow, really, but by next week for sure. I hate feeling stupid and don't take it well and I've been feeling like that a fair amount lately, but I'll just have to push through it and do my best to cut myself some slack.
