My cat had her kittens, all SIX of them! She had them on Sunday, February 20, 2005, which, strangely enough, was my last day at Starbucks.
Yes, I quit. It's not that I was fed up with the wholly favortist behavior in the store. I was fed up with being complained about (some joking, some not) by "every single partner", according to my manager. Not only were they complaining about me (which I don't really care about, I was there to work, not make "friends"), but I was getting "talked to" pretty frequently about *my* manner of conducting business. So yeah, I just left. Gave my two weeks and all that, and left. Of course, I bought a ton of coffee pods with my 30% discount before leaving, but you know. I'm quite poor again, and I only get drip/brewed coffee whenever I venture into a Starbucks.
Back to the pleasantness of kittens. Yes, SIX of them! Little hussy. :D I was finally able to sex most of them. Two boys, the rest girls. Well, one girl MIGHT be a boy, but I don't think so. Can I just say that kittens are adorable? My guy earned himself about a million points with me (pff, like he ever loses them anyway) on the kittens' birthday. Since Sunday used to be my Starbucks/scorekeeping day, I was at work for the entire day, pretty much. When I got to Ice Oasis (where I scorekeep, in case you didn't know), I noticed I had a voicemail on my cell phone. My guy had called and said "we have kittens". Shock! I called and he said we have five of them. Mama had fine deliveries between 2 and 4pm, and my guy CLEANED UP the mess that she didn't. My guy doesn't clean. I think it's against his religion. But he cleaned up all that [probably] nasty shit. THAT is a man. After I got home that night, we played with the kittens a little bit (okay, a LONG bit). At about 12:30am, we suddenly heard a kitten cry. But it's not with the mama. She was concerned, too, and started looking around for it. We found it and made sure it got fed.

Runty (rescued cat, orange tabby, male)
Sarge/Orange (orange tabby, male)
Gray Gray (gray, female)
Ugly [she has the cutest face] (mostly gray, with some brown and white, female)
Grumpy (calico, female)
Asshole [we thought s/he was Grumpy] (calico, female)

So yeah, give my kittens a home.
In other news:
Haven't been working on my book proposal, haven't been studying Japanese. Have been catching up on my Newsweek, Wired, Japanese magazines, and playing Baldur's Gate, The Sims (all expansion packs but Vacation), Puzzle Pirates, and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. Been buying things for my dolls and more dolls, and playing with dolls and my Tamagotchi Connection (US version). Still scorekeeping, doing some extra data-entry/gopher type work for Ice Oasis. Going to the gym more often, but not at all in the past.. two weeks? No, wait.. Went once this week. Doing a half-assed Atkins diet (I won't cut caffeine). Watching much Japan TV. Still mad at Comcast cos they haven't made SAP available on Japan TV, even when the actual original language is in English, but the station has overridden it with Japanese dubbing, blah blah blah..
