ShhFFXIThistle (10:06:33 PM): Silvermoon. The Row. Keen has been lurking about a few nights, sometimes entering the Row itself, sometimes not. There's no real reason he hasn't gone to the familiar spot by the mailbox, really. He could if he wants to. Standing at the Court of the Sun end of the Row, he brushes his hands down his black shirt, making sure it's-- it's fine. He gives his talbuk a little kick, setting it into motion. Down the Row, headed for the mailbox.
Lady Alanna Jade (10:12:21 PM): Without a care in the world, Grr sits on the ledge under his favorite street lamp, legs kicking back and forth as he plays with the stick of a cherry red sucker. Despite his relaxed pose, he is obviously alert, eyes darting back and forth between all of the entrances and exits of the Row. If he sees the talbuk heading his direction, however, he gives no indication.
ShhFFXIThistle (10:15:02 PM): Keen rides straight for the mailbox and the Grr sitting nearby it. "Hey," he greets once he's near enough, swinging a leg over the talbuk's rump and then sliding down off it. A moment to pat the beast before sending it off, then he moves over next to the other elf, though doesn't sit yet. "How's the Row? All quiet?" He glances up and down it.
Lady Alanna Jade (10:20:10 PM): "Dreadfully so," the dirty elf drawls after pulling the sucker from his mouth with an audible pop. He leans to the side a bit so he can turn and look up at Keen without expending much effort as he gestures down to the Lynx, which is for the moment abandoned and boarded up. "Quiet after the storm, I guess. Though I missed all the fun."
ShhFFXIThistle (10:22:59 PM): Keen drops down to sit next to Grr, leaning to look over towards the Lynx. "Storm? What happened?" While waiting for the reply, he fishes in a pocket. "If I knew you had one already, I would have gotten you something else," his tone is light, less than serious. He holds out a new sucker (wrapped) to Grr. "Hope it's a flavor you like." It's grape.
Lady Alanna Jade (10:26:45 PM): Takes the candy somewhat suspiciously, staring at it and going so far as to sniff it before holding it up in salute. "Cheers!" He fiddles with the wrapping on it as he answers the other's question. "Don't have any details. Some sort of explosion was all I got in explanation before Little Bird decided she still had it in for me and started bitching." The suspicious look is then transferred to Keen, "Not gonna yell at me tonight, are you? I've had more than my fair share of that this week."
ShhFFXIThistle (10:30:39 PM): Looks the Lynx over as he takes that all in, then replies to the important part first. "I won't yell at you if you won't yell at me." Twisting, he offers his hand over to shake on that deal. "And the lollipop is fine, I bought it in Dalaran yesterday. Nothing special about it, it's just candy." He kicks his feet idly a few times, then asks, "Why's she got it in for you? Little Bird?" The explosion bit makes him frown. "What'd they have in there that could explode? He did tattoos, right? Needles, ink..?" He's just full of questions tonight.
Lady Alanna Jade (10:34:08 PM): Grr wipes his hand off on the coat, which might not have helped clean said appendage at all beofre shaking Keen's hand. "It's complicated," the potion peddler sighs as he makes a face. "The reason she hates me. I have no idea about the explosion. Couldn't get much out of Proper before the Bird twisted the stick up her ass and went off on me."
ShhFFXIThistle (10:36:40 PM): "Proper," Keen repeats, once the handshake is done. He relaxes, tension draining out of his shoulders, his smile returning. "You got too many nicknames for people. Who's that? And I still don't know who Little Bird is. But go on, why's she hate you?" He looks off towards the shop again. "Maybe we should go check it out, see what's going on inside. Maybe we can figure it out."
Lady Alanna Jade (10:41:06 PM): "Nah," Grr waves that idea off. "You're welcome to it, but I'm comfortable right here on my corner. Too much effort to go breaking into a place owned by someone I sort of like. He's not tried to kill me at least." He pops his original cherry sucker back in his mouth for a moment before continuing, "Proper. Curious Cat's oh so proper lover-boy, and you don't need to know Little Bird. The stick she has up her ass would be lethal to a little thing like you. The moral of the story is don't trust nobles, because they sure as hell don't trust you."
ShhFFXIThistle (10:45:33 PM): Keen doesn't look much interested in moving from his spot either, at lest not now that they have the whole 'argument'/yelling thing settled. "I'll stick with not knowing. You can tell me once you find out, using all sorts of code names for things," he smiles. Then on to Proper, "Oh," he looks up, thinking, "the blind guy, right?" His smile grows, shortened ears pricking forward, his interest caught. "I don't have to trust her, just because I know something about her. So I guess she's small? What, does she dress in bright colors?" As he looks up and down the Row, he frowns. "That doesn't narrow it down much..."
Lady Alanna Jade (10:48:46 PM): The dealer rolls his eyes at Keen's attempt to get more information from him. "What about you, eh? Not been in the Row much yourself as of late. Get yourself a pretty little boytoy locked away somewhere that I should know about?" He leers a bit toward the end of the statement, popping the candy back in his mouth again.
ShhFFXIThistle (10:53:12 PM): Keen's head snaps Grr's way, expression wide-eyed with surprise. He half-sputters his response, "No!" Pause, frown as he catches on. "Stop trying to change the subject. About Little Bird, why do you call her that? How long have you known her?" Then he grins, which might just telegraph his coming attempt, "You and her a couple?" He leans over to nudge Grr in a knowing sort of way.
Lady Alanna Jade (10:57:59 PM): Grr scowls at the mere thought of it. "Wouldn't touch her for all the gold in Orgimmar," he all but growls. "Freeze your dick right off, that one. Rub you raw with all the sandpaper she's got stuffed up in there." He shakes his head as if trying to get rid of a mental image. "And if you won't let me change the subject I'll just sit here then!" With a huff, Grr folds his arms over his chest and proceeds to pout like a two year old.
ShhFFXIThistle (11:01:27 PM): Keen lowers his head, snickering at that image. "Okay, so you're not very attracted to her," he says. "Go on. What do you two share then? Why do you talk?" Pause, his head cocked as if he were thinking on that, then guesses, "She related to you?" Heaving a great sigh, he makes a grand gesture with one hand. "Okay, okay, don't pout. What would you rather talk about?" Pause, then he offers, "Or I can call Grace and you can watch her do tricks."
Lady Alanna Jade (11:05:24 PM): The dealer just stares at Keen for a moment before snickering. "You're certainly cheerful tonight! Maybe I was onto something before. Have a little something on the side? I always knew you were a heartbreaker."
ShhFFXIThistle (11:08:14 PM): Keen shakes his head, expression sobering, though his smile remains. "No," non-joking answer. "Just my work, Grace, and the Row. Very unexciting. Just how I like it." Turning his head, he gives the dirtier elf a crooked smile. "You'd hate it, I know." Facing forward again, still smiling, he notes, "My turn to pick a spot for our next outing, right? How do you feel about Dalaran?"
Lady Alanna Jade (11:10:44 PM): One blink, then two. "Weeeellll," he drawls, "Suppose I could clean up for it. Mages don't much like me walking around looking like me. Something about the stench interrupting delicate spell work." He shrugs at the end of the statement, pretty unconcerned. "If I remember we had a bit of a wager I needed to clean up for anyway."
ShhFFXIThistle (11:14:42 PM): Keen's long eyebrows lift at the reminder of the wager, then his grin returns. "Two little birds, one stone." The corners of his eyes crinkle with amusement at his own joke. He names a day and time. "Meet you there. Something just arrived yesterday, special for you. I think you'll like it." Then he faces forward again, trying for an innocent expression. "And if I can't spot you before you reach me, then you get to pick the next place."
Lady Alanna Jade (11:17:20 PM): Grr blinks again at that. "Suddenly. I find my self filled with this strange feeling of dread. Is that dread? Yes, I think it is. I'm actually feeling dread. That may be a new emotion for me." He lets out a huff of hair. "You've got a deal though. And don't go thinking that I'll make it easy on you. I like you, but not enough to lose."
ShhFFXIThistle (11:20:20 PM): Keen's grin widens. "You should." He leans in, his voice dropping quieter for the next part, "Came straight from Stormwind. Just for you." A moment, then he adds, "By dragon-express." Sitting straight again, he watches the Row instead of Grr for his reaction, appearing really rather proud of himself. A snort at the last part. "You better get used to losing, I'm going to spot you coming from the opposite side of the city."
Lady Alanna Jade (11:22:47 PM): "Oh wonderful, Stormwind. City I just wanted to think about again. You're trying to kill me aren't you? All this time and what you're really after is my stash of tea. I see through it all now you tea-stealer-person. You'll never get it! I shall remain vigilant till the very end!" The grave robber takes a deep breath after his little rant. "I look forward to the challenge."
ShhFFXIThistle (11:25:58 PM): Keen wrinkles his nose. "Eww tea. You can keep all your dirty leaf water, I don't want it." A glance up at the sky to get a rough estimate of the time, then he shakes his head at Grr. "I don't think it'll be much of a challenge, but do your best and maybe it'll take me more than a glance to tell. I gotta get going now though, so you have plenty of time to plot."
Lady Alanna Jade (11:30:01 PM): He snorts dismissively, "Don't need to plot, I've got this one in the bag." He waves a hand to go with that snort. "You go on though, run off to that little lover I know you're keeping from me. Wouldn't want to keep them waiting. Prettyboys can get so pushy, ya know?" Grr winks, as he finally unwraps his new grape sucker and pops it in his mouth. "Hmm. Not bad."
ShhFFXIThistle (11:33:03 PM): Keen snorts, less amused this time, ears pinning back for a moment. "Yeah, yeah. I'm running home to a man but you'll wake up in Little Bird's bed before I do in his." Then he smiles, a touch forced, as he stands. "Glad you approve," the pleased note in his voice that Grr likes the flavor isn't forced at all. He whistles, then waits for his talbuk. "Don't get yourself killed before Dalaran. If you do, I win by default."
Lady Alanna Jade (11:41:12 PM): The older elf actually gags at Keen's statement involving 'Little Bird'. "If I do wake up in her bed I most certainly will be killing myself, damned if you win or not," he growls. "Off with you. I can't have you around here giving me mental images like that. Might give me a stroke or something, and I like being able to think."
ShhFFXIThistle (11:43:47 PM): Keen laughs, placing a hand on his talbuk as the beast trots up. "Can't have me killing you and you accusing me of doing it just to win." He climbs up into the saddle, smiling down at the older elf. "Seriously, be safe. I'll see you in Dalaran." He lifts his hand in farewell.
Lady Alanna Jade (11:45:38 PM): Grr gives his patented salute as Keen mounts, almost cheerfully eating his sucker and kicking his legs back and forth. "See you in the floating city of doom, indeed."
ShhFFXIThistle (11:46:21 PM): Keen waves, then kicks his talbuk and takes off at a gallop down the Row, grinning to himself as he goes.
