you've taken a glimpse and made it a stare

so i've finally gotten around to scanning in some of the projects i've been working on over the semester. pictured are excerpts from a. a book project documenting my bittersweet road experiences as a child (jack kerouac, my father, and the makers of toyota gewidmet), and b. an animated meditation on the singer cat power. both have yet to reach their finished form, which probably will result in a self-published book and video/installation, respectively. i'm also thinking about making a coloring book out of my random sketches, tentatively titled 'this is not appropriate for children'. and somehow, over the next few weeks, this will all be accessible via a personal website which i have yet to make *shakes fist at prethesis advisor, who did not inform me of this end-of-semester requirement*.
if you haven't guessed, i exist in three states: busy, cranky, and fatty. occasionally i appear sociable, but those days are steadily falling away. that will continue to hold true for the next three weeks. who makes 'to-do' lists for thanksgiving holiday? me, and in doing so i feel i've reached a hitherto unknown juncture in my life:
today: finish all work in computer lab before it closes for break, prep my studio walls, work on cat power installation
tomorrow: studio, work on yeah yeah yeahs installation, thanksgiving dinner with chin/jill/hipster architects
friday: help wilka install for her show
saturday: shoot/art/food with emily
sunday: help wilka install, work, studio
monday: back in the grind
