shitshow weekend
highlights:
-attending the ithaca prop 8 protest
-getting stabbed in the eye with a facepaint brush
-engaging in a 3 hr 80s dance party with my 35 year old professor/mentor/life dictator (i wore your sequined dress, daniela. my underarms are all cut up from brushing against the sequins whenever i danced. am wearing sleeves for the next week. and i will write you soon i have not been ignoring your profferings PROMISE! xoxo)
-punching a guy for telling me girls couldn't play drums
-making out with female best friend aka thesis-vamp-gone-wild
conclusions/notes:
-i should've spent more time working on my thesis
-i'm here, and i'm queer? (at least, that's what my protest t-shirt will proclaim on monday. also, i refuse to be friends with people who support(ed) prop 8. sorry guys.)
-teach for america phone interview on tuesday!
-received my first check from the sun! holiday money yay!
-will scan in sketchbook stuff soon...when i don't want to kill myself for being unproductive regarding my thesis...which is most likely never. my self-regard has become linked with the state of my thesis this semester, which explains my continual stream of self-deprecation, anxiety, bursts of wayward rebellion and occasional moments of lucidity.
