[By his estimations, the kittens should probably be ready to be taken home around now, so while he was on his walk he decided he would stop by and see Sango. He was a little hesitant after their last encounter (he kinda freaked out back there and was a little embarrassed by it) but he figured it should be fine. Not like she was gonna judge him, right?

He stopped when he rounded the corner and saw Sango and a boy he had never met before sleeping next to each other he hesitated. Peace like that was difficult to attain anywhere, especially in this place, and he was hesitant to break the moment. For a second he thought about just walking away. He shook his head and crouched down next to Sango, lightly touching her shoulder.]

You shouldn't sleep out here. You'll get sick.

[It's probably a credit to her instincts that she doesn't jump and freak the fuck out like a mofo at that touch because she definitely could've. Instead she opens her eyes and slowly sits up, careful not to upset the kittens or brother around her too much, blinking the grogginess away. Demon slayers: up at a moment's notice.]

[She eyes Suguro carefully. It's been a while, but the size of the kittens piled into the leaves are an easy explanation for his presence.]

[Sango shifts the green scarf off of her and onto her brother, apparently still asleep, and rolls her shoulders.]

It's just a little chilly out, not damp--we'll be fine.

Alright.

[For a moment or two he's not really sure what to say to her. He still feels kind of bad for freaking out at her that night a little while ago and he felt a little like he had been avoiding her since then, but he couldn't run from what he did forever.]

[Yeah, he stopped walking and just let her get all of that off of her chest. He wasn't exactly sure what kind of level they were on for what kind of comfort he could give her so he just put his hand on her shoulder and gives it a squeeze.]

[Now they've both had an episode of unloading on the other. He lets his hand drop but doesn't move away from her.]

You wanna go out and do something? Get your mind off of all of this for a little while?
