They all originally had homes, but people have disappeared, leaving their companion animals to fend for themselves. We usually try to find them, but... yes.

... mhm. When I was younger, and Ed and I were traveling around- I would find kittens on the street and then hide them from him, and feed them until he found me out. Because he'd always make me leave them behind.

[A little smile.]

I'd be so upset, every time. But he was right, we didn't have a home. The road and our jobs were too dangerous to keep a kitten around.
