remove the windows update from add/remove. It's usually at the end of the add/remove as windows update "Blah"

And if it was completely automatic and you don't remember what it was, I believe there's a way to check what the latest updates you've installed are on the Windows Update web page.

yeah. out there on the update page you can show what ones were installed by what date I believe. I have mine set to always ask me about it. Cause I don't want some of them. ARR.

Yeah. I have mine set to download them, but not to install without my express permission. Trouble is, I never know if it's something I need or not, so I end up caving and installing them after a few days of the annoying popup in my taskbar telling me I have new Windows Updates to install and that the world will end if I don't. Stupid Microsoft.

How do you tell which ones you want?

will tell you if you're wondering what it really does.

I tend to avoid the windows genuine advantage ones for anonymity related reasons. Yarr.

I actually went through and read everything I could find on Windows Genuine Advantage and decided it was fine (seeing as I'm running a legitimate copy of Windows).
