A bit surprising, actually...
This morning I went shopping with Simon and Tasha (so, SO fun!) We gossiped, browsed, made plans for trips to London and India (I'm imagining the former is far more feasible, at least in my case), failed at using Chinese Finger Traps, were disruptive in several expensive clothing stores, tried to turn Simon straight, and nearly managed to lose Tasha on an escalator at Primark (where she bought some shoes and then made Simon carry the bag so that her parents wouldn't know she's been shopping there when they came to visit). All lovely and wonderful, and good lord do I love these people, but...
On the corner of Cornmarket and High St., there were three Native Americans in full tribal dress, playing some beautiful traditional music. In addition to making me smile in a completely uncontrollable and goofy way, it actually made me tear up. Suddenly, I missed the US like I haven't done since 1st week. I think it's about time for me to go home for a while.
