I have the same sort of thing, although it tends to be tunnels and mysterious passages leading underground a lot of the time.

Oh yes, underground is good! :) I love tunnels and caves and dark, dank places fit for a Gollum... Caves with pretty stones or fossils or stalactites are great too. I really want to learn how to go pot-holing properly one day, and do some real underground exploring...

I would love that as well, though the thought of squeezing into tiny little tunnels where you dotn have enough space to turn aroudn and then crawling through and getting stuck dosnt make me feel great, lol.

Still...I just cant help that think that in some dark dank deep caves some mystery awaits us...

I've been in some big caves with lots of glittering stalgtites etc, so beautiful when it's lit up. Very..primal I guess.

Yeah - I've been to a few of the big show caves with all the crystals and stalactites and stuff. Those were lovely, but I always end up wondering what it'd be like to explore on my own with just a torch and all that darkness... I suppose being small is helpful in this too as I can fit into all sorts of tunnels and suchlike that the big people get stuck in :)

Strangely enough all my best role-playing games have taken place underground - I love the Underdark for instance.

Damn you small people, not only are buses designed for us to hit out heads off but we cant fit in small holes either!
*thinks about what he just typed*
*...ahem...*

I used to go to the caves at Culzean castle when I was younger and go into the caves, just me and a small torch in the dark. It was very spooky and eerie, feeling totally alone in there. I suppose it feels a little like ghost hunting but with more adventure :)

Well, meet the ancestors or extreme archaeology program or something went there last year and found human remains in the cave I was most in.

It was always said the caves were used for smuggling and that a secret passage lead up to the castle on the cliff above. I think they found evidence it once did but when the new castle was built it destroyed the tunnel.

Still it was spooky to know that I was probably standing direclty above hidden unconsecrated human remains when I was in there.

Down near Ayr and Mabole on the west coast, south-west of Glasgow. Very, very pretty place with lovely gardens!
