I finally was arsed to check out Rainer Maria's website in search of new stuff, and boy did I find it. And boy, is it boring. GODDAMNIT! (watch out, this is bound to be a faggy rant) Why do bands that start out so full of passion always fall flat eventually? Isn't there anyone out there who can stay fresh and excited and just plain in love with making music? I mean really. My passion lies in sewing and knitting and textile-y type things, so I only have that for comparison, but I've been into what I'm into for a good seven years or so, and I only get more crazily obsesessed. I just don't understand the complacency that seems so rampant with musicians who "make it big." It almost makes me want to turn into a ska kid, just so I can be all like, "OI! What a bunch of sell-out posers!" and then go buy some stuff at Hot Topic. (Note: Sometimes I really do buy stuff at Hot Topic. But only if it's on sale. And it's underwear. Or generic-looking pencil skirts. Or SERIOUSLY FUCKING SEXY PVC SKIRTS WITH UBIQUITOUS, GOTHY GOTHY D-RINGS. Fine. I'm going through a gothy phase. Fuck off. I'm going to go listen to Einsturzende Neubauten.)
