Rewards/Nickel Count!
There will, occasionally, be little activities going on at the Carnival. The Carnie might put out a call with help for something, someone unusual might show up and have a task, you never really know. But when these things happen, sometimes, you will be rewarded. There are two kinds of rewards - CARNIE GIFTS and NICKELS.
Carnie Gifts
If you help the Carnie directly, you might get something special. For instance, there was a day when the wind was blowing up the tents. Those who responded to Carnie's call and came to help found one of their favorite articles of clothing from home sitting on their bed the next day. These sort of rewards are very occasional, and will vary.
Nickels
Sometimes, by participating in Gate Events or tasks around the Carnival, you will get paid with nickels. Since all fees within the Carnival are waived for the performers, you can use these nickels to gain other rewards.
One nickel buys you...a toy. Kind of an odd one, at that. A doll, or a puppet. Carnie sure does want these gone. Maybe there's a surplus? And who knows, they might come in handy down the line.
Two nickels can get you some classy toiletries and better bedclothes. Nice shampoo, soaps, fancy sheets...living large in a tent with a cot.
Three nickels earns you a meal of your choice! Anything from Romulan Ale to apples from Equestria to a lobster dinner. Something not deep fried? Score!
Five nickels can get you out of a punishment. Don't want to be tortured? Bribery.
Seven nickels lets you buy back an item (within reason) from your home world. You're not going to get your Gundam, but an instrument or favorite weapon might be okay.
Ten nickels lets you hire someone else to do a job of your choosing for the day. Want your buddy to get a break? Want your worst enemy to be shoveling out the animal pens? You have the power. ((Both muns must agree to this one.))
