"Conversation"
Dude, over here. We need to talk for a minute.
Listen, I just talked to Nicole. You know, the girl you just broke up with, then tried to get back? ... Yeah, I know her. We go back a ways.
Anyway, she said some rather unflattering things about you, and I'd kinda like to get your side of the story....Oh, it's not what I think? Then what is it?....That's interesting. Because the way she made it sound, you were the one that was trying to get into her pants, not the other way round.
Look, just come out with it. You wanted back with her after you and Anne couldn't make it work, she turned you down, and you didn't like it and reacted badly.
I don't want to hear it! You can't just take someone's heart and play around with it like that...especially not the heart of one of my friends. I don't know where you got it into your head that you could treat a lady that way....Look, I know your dad--you sure as heck didn't learn it from him.
What do I want? Here's what you need to do. Write her a letter--none of this Facebook or e-mail junk, an actual, pen-to-paper letter--apologizing for what you did to her. Make it clear you've learned your lesson, promise to stay out of her life, and keep that promise. Got it?
Good. And if I ever hear about you doing this to any other girl, our next conversation won't be as pleasant as this one.
