Dear Tommy, Where Have You Been?

Nov 30, 2006 23:09

For those of you who do not know, I have landed a full-time job at Entercom-Seattle. My official title is “KTTH Traffic Coordinator.” It is just a fancy way of saying “I put the commercials where they go, and schedule programming for KTTH and KIRO.”

I enjoy the job, but I am still living in Tacoma, and the commute is killing me. I leave the house around 6:10am, and don’t arrive home until around 8pm (earlier or later, depending on busses). With that said, I have no time to do anything…

I do not have enough income to live near my workplace. Starting in January, I would like to have a couple of roommates, near Eastlake… or, maybe even touching into the U-District a bit. Because I am still paying off student loans, I only have about $600 to spend on rent (including utilities a month). So, if anyone in the area knows someone, or is also currently looking for a roommate… please let me know ASAP.

With the job, I still have found time to work on music with Dan. This is the “Post-Awesomecam Project.” We got a couple of songs under our belt, and are underway of filming our second video. We actually built a stage in his garage. Pictures will come soon. We are going to once again venture NORTH this weekend… this time to see Valient Thorr. If you have not heard of them… you are missing out. Check out my photo galleries on DJcopydog.com

Speaking on DJcopydog.com… would you miss it if it disappeared off of the internet? I have had ZERO response on the CDSwap, and I am only getting about 25 hits a day (most of which are people looking at Freezepop pictures).

The time of year has come to create Christmas Flash 2006. What would you like to see this year? Any specific themes? Any ideas? I am plumb out. If you don’t know what I am talking about, head over to Newgrounds.com and do an artist search for “DJcopydog.” Play all of the Christmas animations. I really need some direction here… or, at least a handful of people that promise to watch it. I need some motivation.

Sickness is in my body. I can barely breathe/swallow/talk. I can’t even cough. So, on the way home from work, I went to the Urgent Care center in Tacoma. Since I did not have strep throat, the doctor could not prescribe any real kind of medication. So, he told me to just drink Slurpees. I replied, “You are my kind of doctor.” Then, he wrote me a real prescription for Vicaden. Yee-ow.

World of Warcraft is once again on the back burner. I got Aloof halfway through level 38, and I no longer have time to play. Once I get a place in Seattle, Aloof will once again roam the hills of Azeroth. I DID buy a lot of the cards for the card game. I have 2 decks made, so if any of you wanted to play… Just let me know.

I have so many other things to say, but I am guessing nobody has actually read up until this point anyways. I am just exhausted with everything, really. If I can just get a place in Seattle, and have more time to relax and make some music, I will be fine. Please respond to anything in this message. Talk to you soon.

Love Always,
Tommy Skaggs
