Video: I don't speak German but I wish I could ⦁ Magneto/Mystique
Click to viewPlease read description! One thing that I've noticed in my time in the X-Men fandom is how few videos there are for older!Magneto and Mystique. Whilst I'm not a huge fan of their romantic storyline in First Class, and yes, of course I ship Charles and Erik harder than the angry hammer of Thor, I think that Magneto and Mystique in X1-3 are such a fantastic duo and a fascinating ship that they make my soul hurt a little. I see them very much in a Joker and Harley sort of way: a level of co-dependance, and there is love there, but it certainly isn't healthy, and she loves him more than he loves her.
Anyway, I just wanted to make a video for them, and decided to use this song, "Scheiße" by Lady Gaga. It's from Mystique point of view, expressing how she acts as though she is strong and independent, as she wants to be, but ultimately she is dependent upon Magneto, and whilst she loves him she will never understand him fully- she doesn't speak German, but she wishes she could.
