Some valuable lessons

I learned some valuable lessons today. Here are a few:

-Painting takes a lot less time when you do it right the first time.

-Picking up a paint brush does NOT make you a painter.

-You can buy all the painting equipment in the world and the most expensive paints, but nothing paints like experience.

I just spent a majority of the day painting the walls in my recently purchased home. Instead of rejoicing that they are done, I'm kicking myself for the mistakes I made. I tried painting much too fast. I went too long between refilling the roller. Now I have to quell my dissatisfaction by repainting some of the walls. Naturally, when I realized how poorly I was coating the walls, I changed my methods. The last wall I did looked nearly flawless, but I learned my lesson several walls too late. I suppose that when I'm laying carpet, the last closet I do will be the only one done correctly. That'd be just my luck.

After I redo a few walls and mow the lawn, I need to figure out what I'm going to do with all the other problems in the house. With everything I am going to fix or replace, I think it might be a good idea to look into some home improvement loans. I'm sure that once I finish some ceilings and floors, I'm going to move in. I should be able to work around the other problems while I'm living there. About the time I'm satisfied with the house, I'll probably be looking for somewhere else to live. Life is funny that way.

Anyway, I'd like to hear from some people, so if you have my number, feel free to give me a call.
