Ned never gets to see his gravestone. Which is how it usually turns out, really. Not all the time, just look at Reg, or Ned would if he weren't permanently dead. Unlike Reg. But anyway. There doesn't seem to be many ghosts on the Disc, at least not in the traditional see-through woo-woo sort. There's plenty of the metaphorical sort, though, and if Ned or the others were ever ghosts it was that sort. Maybe they're there at night when the mist curls around the lilac-heavy graves, standing watch over their final resting places like no one else did. Or maybe it's just the mist and an imaginative mind creating spectres where there are none.
Ned doesn't see why he'd want to hang around his grave anyway.
