Counting Chickens... Sort Of
Wheeeee! I'm so excited! It's getting sort of spring like over here. It snowed last night, but then sort of melted today. I went outside with Peach, and went to see how things were going with the garden.
I've got tons of little garlic sprigs coming up! I planted them from last year's crop in the fall. I have to say, I am really in love with growing garlic. Snow, ice, hail, howling winds... nothing fazes it. It just keeps on going, no problems. I haven't run into any bugs that eat it yet either. Such a dependable and wonderful crop, and so easy to plant more of it. I just saved the 3 largest bulbs from last year, and replanted each of the cloves.
We'll see how the year turns out. I'm kind of hoping we don't move to Houston, but I'll take it as it comes. I guess if we do go, I could have a small lemon tree again. We left our old one with Chris' dad when we left California. He has it on his patio now, and makes lemonade with it :)
