Well, it seems as if my conversation with some friends back home has gone down the toilet about respect and having some standards in your friendship, &/or respect for yourself. I don't care if you're live and let live, life isn't like that, and people you allow to fade so easily in and out are not good friends. Maybe even just sticking up for our other friends when they're treated poorly too? I can't help my aggravation, but I also can't make people expect better. God forbid we call each other out, man and address real issues. Nah, let's just pretend they don't exist so we can avoid awkward. Life doesn't work like that.
Big: Ever wonder what would happen if you put your American friends and European friends in a room?
Big: It's like the Olympics.
Big: Who would you root for?
All I know is, next time someone's upset with me, I'm just going to say, "oh, but it's not a big thing. Don't you just let it slide?"
Shakinggg my goddamn head.
So glad I won't be there to see it.
Why do I care from a million miles away?
I guess my one friend said it, " well as a friend you apply a certain set of standards. you assume its a mutual contract, friendship."
That, and I think I don't know what to think of friends who don't think this kid owes at least me an apology (after being soooooooo mad about how he treated me), and just care with themselves. Like, what kind of defense is that, especially after how I did it for you?
"We care too much. We have to stop and take care of ourselves."
