grandma's words.

I read this letter again, to calm myself about Scotland before I left (yea, man, I was nervous!):

April 10, 2006
Dear Elisabetta,
Thank you for your lovely letter. I appreciate your taking the time to write to me with all the things you have to do. I, too, miss sitting and talking with you and Mairin. (See, I spelt it correctly!)
Elisabetta, do not worry about college! It will be strange at first, but with your beautiful face and lovely personality, it will be easy for you to make friends. I am not joshing you.
I know you will do well on your marks. So try to regain your confidence! God gave you all these gifts! Use them well and you have nothing to fear.
Don't feel too badly about the friend dissing you on the prom. It will work out. I can understand your mom wanting you to go and have a good time. She's your mother!
It was a joyous day for me, seeing you all. Everyone is good to me here, but I miss my live in growing up family. I watched you all grow from beautiful babies to beautiful teenagers and I miss Mary, Julie, and Frances. I haven't made any new friends here. It's not the same. Now that it's spring I will sit outside a lot. Till Mary builds her little front porch. Then I can walk out there.
Be patient, honey, things will work out! Till then talk to your guardian angel sitting at your shoulder! I'm so proud of my girls!
Love always,
Grandma
xoxo

Me: yea, I really wish you guys could've met her.
Marc: Me too. I wish I met the woman who gave the talents to her granddaughter as the only person who never seems to give up on me and yet single-handedly bitches me out.
Me: How is that a talent? :O

if i have any guardian angel it's you, grandma, mail, letters, family, history, personal, advice
