I've made five scrapbooks this summer and have about three more.
I haven't had the money I would like to put into them but my cousin yelled at me for saying it was only okay.
"A scrapbook is a scrapbook and look how much time it takes to do it, and thought. I would love this even if you only think it's okay."
He's right and made me feel better about them. I shouldn't be worried, anyway, because I love watching everyone's reactions when they get them.
The quiet smiles at the letter, or laughing at the comments. The oh yeas! The shaking of heads at photos long forgotten.
The best is I don't even set out to describe them as they are, rather how I know them. Heck, I even call out the bad parts. Haha.
It's a nostalgic process and I always find myself laughing or remembering. Even if it is 'lost profit' I think it's totally worth it. The thank yous, tears, smiles and hugs. Especially comments like, "This is really what I'm going to need in Japan." Or "You are my best friend."
