I stayed with my friend Fenna, back in her home town in Germany for the past weekish. We’ve been pretty close since the fall, but having so much time, you really get to talk about your past a bit - family, friends.

I got to show her pictures of everyone, put faces to names and talked to her about our university life and Greek system. (she’s excited to meet you guys whenever she comes to NY, if I am there). Getting into the Greek life aspect, she said to me it all sounded rather complicated. It’s not really though, I reassured her. I told her of pledging, etc, and when I was swept away to iHop by Glenn and Joe, where I passed out in the back, as well as when I tried one day in my looks when I got some sleep to look like a person going home, and Glenn promptly told me I looked like shit.  I then told her about formals and about the one I coplanned at the aquarium, as well as the price tag (ouch. :$).

I told her how I was telling Marc about the idea when he was in Japan and he was interested (because we both love sharks, duh). I was telling her how I said a lot could happen between that time and the spring, and how my words never fail to bite me in the ass, so I should just stop talking aloud.

I was a bit of a mess prior to formal, so Marc planned to get me drunk.

It started off slow, but soon the Long Island Ice Teas started adding up, and everyone was drunk and all over the place because the bartenders had a heavy hand. But it was really great to be drunk and run over and pet the stingrays.

Just how drunk was I? Well, I didn’t remember seeing people at the hotel, and being a sarcastic ass to my line sister, which was apparently hilarious.

How we wound up in the elevator with a picture, in which we were going somewhere, though to this day, we still don’t know why or where, we were that drunk:

It’s just really wonderful to retell those stories, because, even now, and then, despite what was going on, they always make me laugh and smile.

I told Marc about how I told Fenna about it and it’s always a good memory. And about this picture.

Me: Dude I still don’t know where that elevator picture came from

Marc: Nobody ever will

Me: Hahahaha

Marc: Where were we going lol

Me: No clue, we’ll never know.
