Well, that's all gone to hell, then.
My mum calls on Sat, and informs me that my immediate presence is required in Chch for the weekend of 12/6 for a family reunion. So I'm flying there for the weekend, and then back here for one more week of work. WTF?
Then Shaun's grandad dies on Tue, and he's got to fly back today for the funeral. And then fly back on Mon to pack and stuff.
So that's a grand we won't be bringing back to NZ.
On the bright side, signed my contract with GSE today. Start on 13/7, with a 10K payrise from what I left on a year ago, and a 15K payrise on my current salary. Woot. Planning to be back in Chch from around the beginning of Jul before heading up to Akl in the middle of the month. Any parties happening around then?
