Colin Doran was my neighbor, friend, and an influence in my life. Colin began babysitting me when I was 3 years old. I remember he used to bring video games over, and we would play them for hours. I remember playing Mega Man 1 with him, and several other games, and having a grand ole time. He is one of the reasons I am a gamer today.
Colin had many things going on in his life, he was a kind soul, but a tortured soul as well. He was a writer, and wrote many poems, short stories, and novels. It was his dream to be published. On February 13th, 2008, Colin took his own life. Very shortly after, one of his books, Casting Two Shadows got published, and is now for sale on amazon.com and several other websites. It is a fiction story, and an amazing read. It was Colin's dream to be published, and have everyone read his work, so please, if you have any interest in fiction, or reading at all, please take a look at his book. Colin left behind a young son (2ish I think), Devin, and many of the proceeds from the book will be going to a trust fund for this young child.
