Just Checking In
November is heading toward being over already. How does this happen? Where does the time go? I've been keeping fairly busy, but not busy enough. I've been doing the usual slate of stuff for Westword. This past week has been one of those intermittently busy ones. I got a couple extra assignments, which will be some extra $$$ in a short while. I picked up a new regular thing, blogging in the music section (Backbeat Online) for a small (but well-appreciated) sum. There's no real guidelines on what I can blog about, so if you know of something cool, weird or newsworthy going on in the music world, don't hesitate to let me know. And, as always, when you are trying to avoid work, may I suggest going there and clicking on my links?
Outside of Westword I had another piece on Topless Robot, this time one about science fiction and fantasy classics that need to be made into movies. I also have another coming up soon, so check the site daily. Or just wait till I post the link here, which I almost inevitably will.
There's two more zombie movies I've seen just waiting for a third to keep them company before the reviews appear. I have about a half dozen in my possession, waiting for me to find time to view them, so it could happen any day. Football season is cutting into my movie watching time severely
