Update?
Okay.
3 day ago we had my final party in my current house. A going away/halloween party. It was a success. My costume turned out pretty awesome. I made a suit of armor out of cardboard and foil. Everyone seemed to love it. So that was good. Tons of people showed up, and almost all of them were actually in costume. Awesome.
Now I have a week left until I'm out of this house. I have tons of packing to do, and don't really know where to start. I've got to figure out what would likely sell at a yard sale, what I could sell other places, what to just give away, and what to store at my dads, which has to be a pretty small amount. I also need to figure out what I need to take to Europe with me, and how I'm going to live with it on my back. Then I'll be pretty much homeless for the next two months until I leave, sleeping on couches and in my car, with my backpack full of all the possessions I have left.
I've got to "pack" my computer as well, which seems like quite a task in itself. By "pack" I mean that I'm going to take my laptop and up to two external hard drives with me to Europe. I've got to figure out what to put on them and what to delete. Basically just a lot of shifting of data. Gonna take some time.
And then I've got the problem of needing to work as much as possible to save as much money as possible before I go, but at the same time I've got so much to do that I keep having to get days off work. Rather frustrating. Once I'm moved out of here that will probably get easier though. Still need to make time to hang out with the people I'm leaving behind. Although, not many people have made any effort to see me...
I got Skype. I think it's what I'll use as my main form of communication while I travel. My phone didn't work in Europe, so I'll probably get a Skype phone. And also, Skype has the free calling and video chat and such. That'll be good for my family.
