Dear Reader,
I know it has been some time since I've last posted. (And the thought crosses your mind, "That's okay, I hate hearing this guys random shit. Why the hell do I even subscribe. Reading his posts, make me want to shoot myself in the head") And to that say, Piss off.
Heh, but anyway. Still at LaTech for the Quarter, busy as hell. Haven't updated so most people don't really know what is going on. I barely even get chances to talk to my best friend, I didn't call him back for like three weeks because I was so busy one time. He even threatened to cut himself if I didn't call him. But overall, life is busy as shit. Engineering here is great, but I've never been so busy with it before.
Have a materials test today at 1100. Feel pretty confidant with it. The professor is an Air Force B-52 pilot out of Barksdale AFB who also does nano-technology research on counter-biological warfare agents. Pretty awesome guy. Plus he knows that we have other classes so he doesn't make his class terribly hard. As and added bonus did I mention he's an Air Force Lt. Col?... that flies a giant bomber? Yeah, cool stuff.
On a random tangent, I would like to comment on this crazy place that I'm in. I've lost any sense of worry of offending people. Kyle and i did a pretty good job offending some people with a comment on a T-shirt I had seen on the internet. Wanted to find a picture, but can't find one immediately. So the teacher reads:
"Jesus Loves Everyone"
With a picture of a happy friendly Jesus.
then at the bottom it says,
"But Be Careful, He's HIV+"
Ouch, and there's the kicker. Admit it, it's funny. Sure you probably get a funny uncomfortable feeling of a joke like that, but it's still enjoyable.
Well to finish the story, kyle and I are talking to these people and they comment that they aren't that religious and we get that impression too. Kyle just as an off comment asks me about the shirt because he forgot the punch-line, so I tell him. He laughs, I get a good chuckle... until I notice the rest of the group. Our friends slightly chuckle and lay off... everyone else is fairly stone cold. I give kyle a good nudge. Shortly after that two people leave, with no goodbyes or kind words.
Crazy bible belt. I don't feel bad, fairly funny I think. Geez, some people need to learn that everything in life has the potential in life to be funny. Like Aids. Including Aids in Children... okay maybe that's a bit far, but you could find a joke in it.
People need to lighten up or else you're all going to get an ulcer by the age of 30.
I can type and type forever, spewing out such a random string of bullshit and never mind. I seriously wonder if people actually read this. I seriously wonder if I care that much. Gives me a chance to vent thoughts and put them in some sort of logical order.
I've been going through a big Ska phase, I guess I just need a big pick me up a lot nowadays. And Ska can always put a smile on someones phase. Same with Cake. Cake is so catchy, I don't get it. Most lyrics don't make sense or have any purpose. Yet it's catchy, so therefore irresistible.
Well I'm going to get ready to head out, grab some breakfast and kick a Materials Engineering Test. Home for the weekend if you are in the L-Town and want to say hello. But most of the weekend will be spent with my family.
Okay enough of this.
