THE MOURNING AFTER
By N. Willig
Darkness falls,
and I fade away.
Nothing more
than her memory.
and I see her dancing
in the bar room lights.
She won't make it home,
no, not tonight.
and she dances on,
without me there
and she dances on,
without a care
and she dances on
like the oceans waves
and she dances on
all the love she gave
She'll dance 'till morning
on our love's grave.
One dozen pink tulips,
fade to grey.
