It's beer time again!
Coming up in 2 weeks, its NERAX, the New England Real Ale Expo. For those of you who have not heard me rant about this in the past it is a great beer lovers event. There are 4 sessions, Wednesday through Friday night and Saturday in the afternoon. Admission is $15 to the first three nights and $10 on Saturday. They have 90 or so casks of ale available on tap (opening new casks for every session) and they are served at proper temperature using pressurized air or beer engines. The result is like nothing you will find elsewhere. Rich, flavorful beers with complex flavors.
It is a cash bar and you do have to put down a $5 deposit on a glass but it is an extremely fun event for anyone who loves beer and enjoys being around other people who love beer. Redbones food is also available on site.
Since the pre-purchase tickets are already sold out, I suggest getting there early on any night because the line can get kind of long.
If people are interested in going on any particular night, let me know. I will likely go to more than one of the sessions. Barring a group wanting to go, I will probably skip Friday night since it can be kind of busy.
