Happy Birthday to me *not*

Why is it that birthdays seem to be such a horrible let down? Why do I always build myself up for disappointment? Why do I get excited... its pointless. I always just end up frustrated and disappointed by the fact that I don't get what Id like to have, I don't get the attention I'd like and no one offers to do anything with/for me unless I somehow ask them to. Why bother to expect anything? Why do I want to be suprised? Why?

I've decided that Birthdays and Christmas are just a giant let down ...
