over the past few weeks i have had several people that i used to work with "back in the day", pop into my store.
the first was a girl i haven't seen for at least 20 years. still works for the company, but in a different capacity. she was surprised that i was still at the same store and had not retired yet. we gave each other hugs and talked of old times. it was waaay cool!
the 2nd was a girl i haven't seen in maybe 10 years? she no longer works for the company, she got smart! she is fairly high up at kaiser hospital (not floor wise, sheeesh). she introduced me to her hubby and seemned very happy. we too hugged and talked of past times. i used to call her "my drew" because her facial features reminded me of drew barrymore. still does a little eh? much coolness there too!
the third girl popped in today. she worked at the store maybe 15? years ago. she is somewhat of an entrepreneur, always doing some "exotic" type of job somewhere in the u.s. last time i heard about her (6 or 7 years ago) she was in alaska doing some kind of wilderness/forest ranger thing. anyway, she looked great, gets better look'en each time i see her. hugs were in order of course and a bit of reminiscing. this was by far the coolest event of the day! she said she might be in again befor she goes off to wherever..........that will be cool too!
