The good and the bad ...
Of the good:
* Had a great visit with the parents earlier this week.
* Lazy Friday was lazy, and I loved it. Though I did get four loads of laundry done, so there was a bit of productivity.
* I'm hitting several good restaurants over the next few days, including Cecconi's and Beso. Yum. I love birthday shenanigans. (Yes, one should take a minimum of two weeks, and preferably more time, to celebrate birthdays.) Here's hoping the restaurants live up to the hype.
* Best friend set up an expensive "personal effectiveness" course for me at almost no cost to me, because she wants me to do it so badly. I hope I get out of it as much as she did, because it literally changed her life for the better in so many ways. I'm a little skeptical, but I'll willing to try it since it clearly means a lot to her.
* Have one more birthday shenanigan to set up, with
without_me, which I'm very much looking forward to, since I miss her greatly.
Of the bad ...
* Scissor Sisters are playing L.A. on a day I can't go, dangit.
* I bruised the tar out of my hand while visiting the parents earlier this week, as I knocked my hand against a lighting knob. Pesky knobs shouldn't be sticking out into the hallway anyway. However, the doctor at the urgent care was ADORABLE, and flirted perfectly. And he gave me a bright purple ace bandage for my hand, so it wasn't all bad.
Happy weekend, peeps!
