We had the greatest dinner. We went to the new Texas de Brazil in downtown Detroit. They put it in the Compuware building, right around the corner from Hard Rock Cafe.
I forgot how cool the downtown area is and how great it is to walk around.
We first ate at a Texas de Brazil in Chicago last summer when we visited my daughter for her birthday.
The food is incredible. It's a CHURRASCARIA. Whatever the hell that is. Cherie knows all this stuff having lived in Miami most of her life.
At any rate - it was unlimited meat brought to your table on skewers.
I had filet wrapped in bacon, garlic steak, lamb chops, leg of lamb, pork ribs, beef ribs, flank steak and their house special which I don't remember the name.
Plus they had a fantastic upscale salad bar with included exotic cheeses, meats and seafood. Plus sides of potatoes au gratin, and a couple other vegeatbles. And the soup - lobster bisque!
After that, a walk around Campus Martius and watching the dancing fountain on the misty side which helped cool us down from this summer sweltering.
It was a good excuse to get dressed up and enjoy a fantastic meal with the best company you could imagine!
