Alrighty, year 3 semester 1 is over, Christmas is here! I don't want to see any marks at this point.. so sick of it all.. all the unexpected expectations, how they make you read their minds, its all very frustrating and thus making it a really frustrating semester.
Thanks to everyone who's been supportive and such, it means a lot,
Ben, Jen: thanks for your comments but I have no intention of staying a single semester more than I need to at CU, I gotta move on to bigger and better things. However I have not ruled out taking a year off to work and then come back.
OK now, onto Christmas!
Immediately after Biochem on Thurs morn which I wrote on 2 hours of sleep, I took a quick nap on the blue chairs yeah I laid down across 3 blue chairs outside Tory while waiting on a friend to go downtown for chow. So 5 of us hit up Nickel's in the market, boy did their service ever suck.. I ended up not tippin all that well... nothing close to what I usually do. I also found out Celine Dion owns the Nickels chain. go figure. Afterwards we loitered Rideau which was getting a bit busy and while the girls checked out the girls clothing stores, I and the other guy checked out Source by Circuit City. I commented on how they were exactly located next to each other and my friend agreed. Anyways, I managed to pick up a pair of jeans from AE and a shirt from Old Navy, both of which were like half price or so.. go me.
Friday I went back to Borden to say hi to a few teachers and drop off old school electronic junk we're trying to throw out for a teacher who teaches a tech course. He was really appreciative of that which was nice so I don't feel bad for throwing them out.
Friday and Saturday.. more shopping,
Saturday night Christmas eve service was really nice, Katrina has an amazing voice, made me feel a bit bad when I started sounding like a cat.
To Do list:
finish deliveries
Hockey... once the thermometer dips below 0
snowboarding maybe?
New year's eve party.. plans still up in the air
watch some movies
smallville marathon with seb, rishi et al
clean up
recharge for next semester
I LOVE this new song I heard on the radio while studying, its called "It all started with a child" by Johnny Reid and I just can't get enough of it.
Frost on the window
Snow on the ground
Children outside laughing
They all know who's coming to town
Every house on my street
Is covered up in lights
The echo of locals
Singing "O Holy Night"
It all started with a child
And a star up in the sky
A manger and a prayer
Three wise men standing there
The beginning of life
That will forever shine
The greatest gift to all mankind
Started with a child
There's a snowman on the lawn
Angel on the tree
The sound of distant sleigh bells
Sure makes it hard to sleep
People come together
We all pray for peace on Earth
Thank heaven the blessings
Every boy and every girl
(Repeat Chorus)
The greatest gift to all mankind
Started with a child
I can't wait to do some stuff with you guys.... Merry Christmas!
