Hey Piers, remember that person you thought was a guy? Well, Cameron is now looking at some simple dresses. Trying to determine... something to wear once the weather improves. This is an important choice and sie can't seem to decide between this one blue one here and this night patterned green one. Sie could get both, but it's still too soon for hir to break the habit of budget shopping, money non-existence aside.]

[Well, it wouldn't seem too strange because for all Piers knows, that could be some strange custom of Cameron's people also.

Though he is looking a bit curiously over at Cameron.]

[...Hm. This patterned green one would be better, right. Sie turns to look at the mirror over ther- oh, Piers. Sie smiles, turning to face him more properly, the green dress in hand]

Oh, hello Piers.

[And cue an awkward looking smile.] Hello, Cameron. Settling in well?

Truthfully... I'm not sure, but shopping for spring outfits is helping some. [With a little shrug, sie pressed the green dress up against hir. Sie's wearing girls jeans and a V-neck today but-]

Do you think this would suit me?

[And still looking really awkward. Totally asking the wrong sort of guy here.]

I really don't know...

[How does one even ask about the oddness of a guy wearing a dress? But then who knows what sort of culture Cameron comes from.]

[...Oh. Did Piers assume male or are they just not good with clothes. Either way, Cam gives an apologetic shrug here]

Oh, well that's fine too. To be honest, I think I like this one enough to get it already - just looking for a second opinion.

[Not like Piers has room to talk, his own outfit looks like a dress from the back.]

Then you should if you like something like that. I admit I tend to think of ease of movement when buying myself.

[And totally has a preference for blue as is likely evident from what he's picked out so far and what he's wearing.]

Ease of movement...? That's certainly important too, but then I'm more of an academic than someone who excels in athletics. I am, after all, a merchant's child. [With a little shrug, sie gets the bag of things sie's been forming and neatly starts to fold this new dress into it]

I mean to say, I'm probably a bit biased towards aesthetics.

Ah. It must be nice to live in a world where there is no fear of being attacked by monsters when you leave a town.

Your world is so dangerous?

It is definitely not safe for someone to travel alone if they have no means to defend themselves. Even a mere sailor like myself would need a weapon and armor when out at sea.

And you have skill in making use of them? I had not realized you were a warrior, Piers.

I have some skill at it. I learned some while in my homeland and honed my skills further while traveling with my friends. I still do envy the fact that your world doesn't require such skills.

Yes... I can see why you would. There are, of course, warriors to be found in almost every tribe, but in the region my people are from, at least, most of the dangers are in the form of brigands.

What does one like you who isn't a warrior do then if you need to travel?
