Woa...splitting headache

Dec 06, 2007 01:15

Today was a somewhat difficult day - I had a splitting headache for much of the daytime, and it didn't go away until I got back home from school and took ibuprophen. It was so perfect though that I had to leave work for class just as it was getting very busy in there. Let others do some sweatin'. Hehe, I am evil, but that's how others get by in the work place, so I am simply learning. =)

I am done with most of the intense school stuff this semester. I have one homework in each class and then take-home finals for both classes next week. But the worst is over!! Within a little over a month I took the Physics GRE, the university English exam, and had 3 class presentations to research and prepare for. So there are plenty of reasons to look forward to the winter break.

On a different topic, it was so funny (and tragic too) that Hulk Hogan only found out that his wife filed divorce papers when being interviewed by a journalist about it. Can you imagine talking to some tv dude with a microphone and recorder and expecting some standard celeb questions and all of a sudden they ask you about your divorce that you had no idea was going on?! No wonder he doesn't want to give her any of the money!

And how about president Bush continuing his boneheaded politics? I guess he put the US in a shitty situations where our European allies do not want to continue pushing Iran for nuclear production sanctions since investigation reports turned out that Iran stopped their nuclear weapon program in 2003, and they only produce nuclear energy. So to Iran we now appear even more bullish, unreasonable and stupid since Bush was so ignorant as to suggest a possible WW3 over this (when it turns out the intelligence was wrong - THAT SOUNDS AWEFULLY FAMILIAR!! Iraq, Iran, they sound the same...).

Fucking brainless puppet of Cheney. If this was a real democracy, or even close to democracy, they would have been impeached and replaced with more competent national leaders and not allowed to stay in office for 8 damn years. How could Clinton get impeached over his sexual conducts and gifts to interns (when tons of men cheat on their wives) and this guy get away with mass murder, deception and unconstitutional behavior?? And I don't hate this asshole because he is republican. I hate him because he has dug us into a hole and it seems US is now in a dangerous downwards spiral. The dollar is the weakest ever, gas prices are soaring, housing market is down the drain, and so is the credit situation, allies have been angered, even more enemies created, unimaginable war debts that we and our children will pay for years, decline of domestic industry as the demand for cheap foreign labor and goods has increased. These are bad, bad signs! Most of us do not and may not feel these effects for another few years, but I hope the whole power elite becomes more competent and aware of the risks and starts acting accordingly.

Still on another note, I keep waiting for "The Big One" but it never comes. Somehow, I am secretly anticipating the big earthquake that is overdue to go off on the Hayward fault, or possibly on the San Andreas fault. And it is not that I want people to get hurt or die, but powers of nature fascinate me. I am always amazed when hurricanes pack winds of 165mph, and tornadoes rip through the plains at over 200mph. The Indonesian earthquake of 9.0 was also fascinating, especially reading the geographic changes it caused. "But I should be careful what I wish for, or I might get it all." So in a sense, I want to feel a powerful earthquake, but have frozen time so that it isn't really happening and hurting anyone or destroying civilization. I had this wonderful sensation when I was in school and the 5.6 earthquake struck. I should just now stop rambling and let you guys do something more productive than read this crap.

Hasta luego
