Day off today and I am happy and energetic. I got up with Emmy around 7:30 before she left for school and have been up since. I already washed the dishes, did stretching exercises and I am about to go wash the car. Once the chores are done, I want to go practice alone with the soccer ball. Then at the end of the day I will go play soccer and I am really looking forward to it. I have a great new determination and I aim to score at least twice today.
Currently I am writing this listening to some music. I took an old shirt to use as a rag to clean the car. I will mostly hose it down but use the rag to wipe the windows and such.
I am still waiting to be offered a permanent position at Intel but it has only been 2 months into my 1-year contract. Apparently they are hiring people this month, October, but I need 3 months of work (probation period) in order to qualify to be hired. So I will have to wait until next time - hopefully in December. I think I am doing very well and I am just ready to get certified on a third instrument. From what I see, the co-workers are happy with me and the supervisor likes my fast progress, especially in learning 3 tools in a relatively short time. I am determined to work hard and do a good job, not commit any mistakes. I feel that this is a great opportunity to go further. I am considering applying to SJSU for a Master's degree, but I don't yet know in what field. I am considering physics, optics, geophysics, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
We will see what happens then. In the mean time I need to continue working hard to get in better shape. I am planning to join an indoor soccer team but have not found the time to do it yet. Emmy and I are doing just wonderful as always. She is at school now. Her internship as a counselor at a San Jose high school is going good. It is busy and difficult, but she finds it fulfilling and challenging. I am happy we are greatly in love and heading in the right direction. =)
