Well, after I posted yesterday, I was busier than a one-legged man in a kicking contest. For now, all I'll say is that the guilty fleeeth (spelling?) where no man pursueth, but he succeedeth not always.
And then, Martie, my youngest sister, and I went wedding-dress shopping--no, not for her, for me! Keith and I are getting married in February, and I've learned that means I must order one soon (like, before the end of the month). We had gone to a shop Wednesday, but they were going out of business, which meant that they had a very few dresses in size 12 but nothing larger, and lots of 8s and 10s, all of which were deeply discounted, and I mean deeply. Martie got 2 lovely Vera Wang dresses for just over $100, and I snuck back and bought her the third she looked at but couldn't afford to get (even though it was just $30--yes boys and girls, you heard correctly, a Vera Wang for just $30--and if it had been a size 16 or so, I'd have bought it for myself).
But back to the shopping! I tried on several dresses (and while I know we didn't look at every dress in the shop, it sure seemed like it!). Only two were kind of what I was wanting and really looked good on me, one of which was a bridesmaid's dress. If I decide to get it, I can get it in a nice blue (got four shades picked out, just gotta decide which one!) with a bolero jacket to go with it for under $300. So now there is no pressure where dresses are concerned, only where just about everything else from reception hall to wedding-cake to caterer to invitations to--I could go on forever! or long enough to make Mark cry, at any rate (big grin).
