Personal Log--Earthdate: 28.06.06
Whew! Been a while since I've posted--half the year's gone by. Well, I might be posting sometime from home now; Jimmy fixed up a computer for me, and now that I no longer have Norton's Firewall (though I still have Norton's anti-virus protection), my computer seems to be working better with the university's servers. I wish they'd fix the modems, though. Getting a decent, solid connection isn't the one-to-two hour ordeal that it used to be, but it still takes a bit of work, and sometimes the connection will be dropped even after an hour or two.
I expect that sometime soon I'll work internet service into my budget, and then I'll connect via People PC, I think.
As far as life goes, things have been up and down--about half and half, just like a see-saw that isn't over-balanced. I've spent the last hour or so reading over some of my previous journal entries. Wish I could put emoticons in here--I'd be smiling reminiscently. So much has happened. My brother, Chuck--that's number two brother but number six sibling--has gotten married again. Hopefully this one will last and he'll be happy. I think sephtur's job has been made permanent (relatively speaking; he is no longer a contractual employee); hopefully he will move to his own place soon.
Been having fun gaming, but my gaming bag with most of my dice (some of which can't be replaced since they were my grandmother's), most of my characters, and my _DC Heroes_ handbook, as well as my 'History Time-line', _Little Book of Chinese Proverbs_, my mini-atlas, and my Star Trek communicator/clock/calculator, was stolen from the back of my pick-up at the end of May along with a bag containing half of my event-bedding. Can we say bummed out? I alternated between depression and a desire to hunt down and beat the crap out of the thieves.
On a happier note, I enjoyed the heck out of X-Men 3. Well, gotta run....
