So I'm a HUGE fan of desserts :D especially cakes and leche flans, but just yesterday i've become a rice cake fanatic.
Actually i've always been crazy for rice cakes but just towards this one filipino dessert "bibingka".
I mean really crazy for it, when I was a kid every time the dessert lady came into our neighbourhood I would go crazy looking for change, 1 peso for a slice.
All day I anticipated her coming and was greatly disappointed when she didn't, of course I cried when I didn't get one, what three old wouldn't?
This whole week I've been snacking on nothing but puto and espasol (something I haven't really enjoyed before) but for some reason that 1 roll changed it all.
I want to try every ethnic rice cake there is:
Mochi <---- I've always wanted to try this since time
Hwajeon
Mujigae tteok
Daifuku
Finally after a decade of searching I finally found the name of this Vietnamese Dessert
"Che xoi nuroc" I have no idea how to pronounce it but damn it tastes good.
