I finally had my sleep study last night...slept at the old hospital with wires stuck to my head, chest, legs, and finger. I looked like something out of a sci-fi movie! LOL :P I won't get any official results for about a week, but the technician saw a lot of "events." An "event" is when I stop breathing or breathe shallowly for at least 10 seconds. Forty or more events indicate a problem, and the technician saw at least that many, but they weren't major, so she says I'm "borderline" as far as a diagnosis goes. She sent my data and video off to Fargo right away this morning. There, the technicians will slow down the video so they can see exactly what was happening to me during each event. When the results come back, I'll have to see my regular doctor, and decide if I need to go back for another sleep study, if I need an oxygen mask to wear at night (AAAAHHHH!!), or that I don't qualify for treatment. That would mean that I just have to live like this...tired all the time, snoring like a drunken sailor. :( With those options, I don't know what to wish for...
At any rate, life is still good ~ after all, I AM still alive, and fairly healthy. :)
Catch ya later...
