Firefighter Will- "I've been talking to this girl, but she's a total nutcase. She calls me every single day and tells me all about her depressing problems. I'm starting to get sick of her. Damn dude. I haven't dated in a while and already I'm dealing w/ a sad girl ( Read more... )

Am I the only one who fails to see thrills in this?

I know! I dont get the obsession with Lex either! But I guess it's kinda like Spiderman and Dr Octopuss; they go hand in hand.

Yeah, the main conception is that Dr. Octopuss (lol) is one of Spiderman's greatest villain, but i think any other villain is a heck of a lot more interesting than him.

What I've also heard is that there will be a 4th yet unrevealed villain in this next spidey film (Sandman, Green/Hob Goblin, Venom and ???). I wonder who could it be? I read it in an interview w/ the director, so the rumor sounds pretty legit, but as of yet, it's still a rumor.

I dont like it when they do more than one villain, 'cause then not enough attention is given to a villain that i like. i mean, villains already don't get enough air time....

Yeah, that's true. Then again, X-Men 3 had about 50 characters to try to follow and things turned out OK, right? Also i remember watching the first and second Spidey movies and wishing there was one more villain. Now, it looks like they are throwing a bunch of them at us. I do expect that either Sandman or the unnamed villain are just gonna have small bits (most likely the new villain). Like opening the movie w/ Spiderman defeating them to try to brings us back into the comic world.

Oh, and the interview was w/ a producer, not the director. Here's the link:

Well, with X-men, I think it worked with that many villains because they were mostly minor villains -with few powers- and not intended to give much attention to. Plus, there are so many X-men that it's almost like they need to match one villain per hero in order for ithe movie to work (fight scenes, etc.). So with Spider-man, they should follow the same formula.
