Today I hanged out w/ Big Ludge and Jesse. It was complete opposite of last time; I had an awsome time. They were ragging on the only band they know that I like, but this time, I stood up for myself and put them in their place. After that, we just agreed that different people like different music. Well duh, right? That's what I've been telling them since the begining!
We played basketball and I won 3 games of horse, and 2 of 21. Jesse won 1 game of horse and 1 of 21. Ludge won absolutely jack shit, lol. It was fun. I hope we play basketball more often. They say they really want to, so lets hope so.
Earlier today, I went to eat breakfast w/ Firefighter Will at a fast food place, because he's totally my straight boyfriend. What was funny was that while we were eating our food, some hobo ran to our table, took my drink and took off w/ it. I was all like, "Hey!! That's mine!!" and took off after him. I chased him out the restaurant and across the parking lot before I realized how silly this all must have looked to Will. Sure enough, he was laughing his ass off. The hobo got away w/ my drink though. Fucking bastard. After that, we went to see X-men: The Last Stand.
X-men: The Last Stand- (WARNING: MINOR SPOILERS!!!) I have mix feelings about this one. I mean, the end result, I really liked it. A whole lot better than I did the last two, that's for sure, but something was still missing. Oh I know, A DECENT PLOT! Story wise, this is the weakest of the bunch. I, however, never really liked the first two X-Men movies for their stories. I just wanted to see mutants kick the living crap out of each other and in this sense, X-3 delivers. The battles are OMG good, too bad they're too few and too far from each other. In between glorious action, there's terrible plot filling. For example, Warren (Angel) was a completely unessary character. Sure, he has a really disturbing scence in the beggining, but he served absolutely no purpose later on. Rogue was also given a crappy reason why she didn't have any action this movie. Some of the story just felt wrong. Wrong, Wrong, WRONG! In other parts though, the story makes the last two movies feel like they've been holding back. In some aspects, this story goes balls to the walls w/ what happens w/ some of the characters. I'm still a little surprised at some of the things that went on!
In short, go for the action and forget the awful story. Loyal fans should stay clear. I'm only giving it a somewhat high grade because I like seeing mutants fighting (Storm kicks ass!), but this was in no way, a good film. 8/10
